- Mobile medical caravans will be deployed in villages
to perform basic check-ups on women’s health concurrent to the public seminars.
These medical caravans will be organized in collaboration with local health
clinics. Some of these caravans will require women to go to the health clinics
for medical check-ups while others will involve the physicians setting up a
temporary place near the public seminar to perform the testing procedures.
Either of which means will be utilized depending, of course, on the nature of
the tests to be performed. Furthermore, the ASC will hold regular awareness
sessions on coping with stress, marital health and sexual reproduction issues,
and dealing with the atrophy of psycho-social development for victims of
psychological trauma. This will require specific activities for specific target
groups, being women and girls, pregnant women, women in the reproductive age
group, men, youth and couples. Both
seminars and medical caravans will be coordinated by Life Vision as part of the
PWS’s activities while relying on local doctors and health practitioners for
the technical matters. The program will
involve local power holders as they can provide entry points into the community
and encourage participation.
