Life Vision for Development works on improving the women’s status from being marginalized economically, socially and psychologically to being educated and conscious, aware of their value, income generating acquiring effective roles in their communities, perfectly aware of their rights., imposing their presence and influencing the society. Our target audience is women (18-45) in Cairo’s slums and rural areas in Menia and Beni-sweif. We use vocational training through establishing handicrafts workshops in parallel with introducing management techniques and business coaching.  We link handicrafts producers to designers and quality control specialists and open channels in the local and international market for these producers to be recognized on the market and advance on the value chain. We use discussion groups, Basic Life skills curriculum (Passport to Success) capacity building workshops, illustrative drama: theater of the oppressed – and learning by doing as tools towards our women empowerment objectives.
