• The Project aims to contribute towards the promotion of rapid economic growth, improved livelihood and poverty reduction by Increasing income and work / job opportunities for the poor, more specifically women, disabled and youth, in selected areas by improving productivity, diversification, and products quality while establishing efficient marketing services and facilities. As well as improved marketing and business skills of the project beneficiaries.
  • Regarding the youth, at least 90% of the unemployed are of thirty five years of age or less and many more within that age group are affected by underemployment. Furthermore, the private sector still suffers from a widening gap between the demand for skilled labour and the provision of unskilled labour, as well as the spread of the informal sector. So providing the youth with the skills (technical and soft skills) needed to improve their chances will be the main focus, as well as working on the mind-set, that will also affect their communities as good youth (both men and women) models rise among their communities.
